The Los Angeles Clippers are willing to address their roster structure issues for them to legitimately compete for an NBA championship.

According to  ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, Kawhi Leonard has ‘privately clamored’ for the Clippers’ front office to address the situation around the point guard position.

That doesn’t mean Patrick Beverley is going to depart from the team, as his defensive capabilities are still pretty useful. However, the Clippers will have to find a floor general in order for their stars to find quality looks in the offensive end.

The Clippers lost to the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the 2020 playoffs at Walt Disney World despite taking a 3-1 series lead.

As a result, Doc Rivers and the LA franchise parted ways, with Tyronn Lue, who was an assistant coach last season, being named the new head coach of the Clippers.

The LA Clippers are not expected to have a ton of cap space in the free agency, so they may have to address the issue via a trade.

NBA free agency is likely to begin sometime later in November or early December.
