The Dutch Basketball League has announced its decision to suspend the season for at least four weeks.

As reported by the website latest basketball news, the season has been temporarily suspended due to the new government measures to contain the coronavirus pandemic.

The Netherlands reported 7,393 new positive coronavirus tests on Tuesday, which increased the number of positives coronavirus tests to almost 44,000 over the past week.

Only professional football has been excluded from the measures.

The Dutch Basketball League becomes the second league to suspend the season, after the Czech NBL, which has temporarily suspended the season too.
