The Golden State Warriors are one of the most unpredictable teams in the upcoming draft, as they may choose a prospect based on need.

Most teams in the Top-3 of the Draft are looking to make a choice based on talent. However, that may not be the case for Golden State, as they have the second overall pick at their disposal.

The Warriors are expected to show interest in Devin Vassell, if they trade back in the 2020 NBA Draft, per Connor Letourneau of San Francisco Chronicle.

“According to multiple league sources, the Warriors believe Vassell is the top wing defender in this draft and would strongly consider him if they trade back to the 5-10 range. There is an outside chance that Golden State could even take him at No. 2 if it doesn’t receive an enticing offer to move down.”

Vassell, a previous unheralded prospect, is a prototype 3-and-D player shooting almost 42 percent from the field. He averaged 12.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.4 assists per game as a sophomore last season with Florida State.
