The New York Knicks’ president Leon Rose would like to infuse a ‘win now’ mentality in his team, after the franchise sank into disrepute in the last few seasons.

As a result, the Knicks could pursue several big-name players in the trade market. One of those could be Indiana’s Victor Oladipo, according to Marc Berman of the NY Post.

“While Rose, the Knicks rookie president, has Paul on his trade radar, putting together a package for younger Pacers’ guard Victor Oladipo is expected to be a higher priority, according to NBA officials.”

Oladipo would be an instant upgrade for the Knicks and their young roster headlined by RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson.

After tearing a tendon in his knee late in the 2018-19 season, the Indiana product returned to the court last December and tried to regain his All-Star form with mixed results.

The Pacers’ guard is going to be a free agent next season, as his four-year deal he signed back in 2017 is going to come to an end.
