Former NBA player Josh Smith shared a strong remark on the Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers after LA blew a 3-1 lead in the Western Conference semifinals against the Denver Nuggets.
Rivers became the first coach in the NBA to lose three playoff series while having a 3-1 lead. Smith shared his own memory from one of such series.
“We’ve seen this move before. In fact I wrote the scrip. #ByeDoc #The3-1Bum,” Smith wrote on Instagram with a picture of him in the Houston Rockets uniform playing against the Clippers.
The picture is from the 2014-2015 playoffs when Los Angeles, coached by Rivers, blew a 3-1 lead against Houston to lose the series 3-4.
It is interesting that for the first half of the 2015-2016 season Smith was a member of the Clippers and was coached by Rivers.
