The Los Angeles Lakers are through to the Western Conference Finals after winning the series 4-1 against the Houston Rockets.

It was ten years ago that the Lakers went this far in postseason. That time, led by Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol, the Purple & Gold won it all.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel talked about his team’s playoff journey and the impact the LeBron James and Anthony Davis have.

“I’m really proud of our whole team. Beginning with our captains. But really top to bottom on our whole roster’s commitment to the defensive end,” Vogel said.

When talking about LeBron and AD, he pointed at their cohesiveness on and off the court as well as them fitting the team-first mentality.

“The fact that they’re so cohesive on and off the court really impacts our group’s togetherness and our chemistry. It filters down to the rest of the guys. Obviously, both of them have dominant abilities on both sides of the floor. They’re both willing passers.

“They fit what we’re trying to build here in terms of being a team-first team offensively and one that’s athletic and gifted and talented and committed on the defensive end.”
