The Boston Celtics are back to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2018 after eliminating the Toronto Raptors in seven games.
Paul Pierce, who won the NBA championship in 2008 with the Celtics, motivated his former team with a tweet. Pierce was a member of Boston teams that faced LeBron James and the Miami Heat in the early 2010’s.
The rivalry between the Celtics and the Heat back then was very strong. Likely remembering the old rivalry, Pierce tweeted: “Beat the HEAT ! Beat the Heat !! Letssss gooo.”
