Anthony Davis and LeBron James combined for 45 points but it wasn’t enough to secure a victory as the Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Houston Rockets in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals (97-112).

Davis, who was the top scorer for Los Angeles with 25 points, talked about what went wrong for his team in the loss. The 27-year-old superstar pointed at the Lakers’ turnovers that were very costly.

“They are trying to switch everything. They’re trying to stay home in the post. They made some shots from there… We only had 15 which should have been 5 or 6. It seems like they scored on every turnover that we had. They had 27 points off turnovers which kills us. We can’t turn the ball over against this team. That was kind of the big key,” he said.

AD also pointed at the fact that LA had some defensive breakdowns and stopped running the way they should have.
