George Hill entered the locker room on Wednesday without telling anyone about the plan to not play in Game 5 on Wednesday.

Just before his teammates were to get on the court, the veteran’s intention got revealed to not participate in the contest as a protest to the shooting of Jacob Blake.

On Saturday, after the Bucks eliminated the Magic with a 118-104 win in the rescheduled Game 5, Hill said Wednesday’s protest was the result of a trickle-down effect.

That trickle-down effect led to the NBA postseason to be postponed until Saturday. The reason for the last minute reveal was that Hill didn’t want to put pressure on the team, if they didn’t want to make that decision.
