The United States president Donald Trump reacted to the NBA players protesting in the wake of the Jacob Blake shooting. The protests led to the playoff games being postponed with a threat of the season getting cancelled altogether.
“I don’t know much about the NBA protest. I know their ratings have been very bad ’cause I think people are a little tired of the NBA…They become like a political organization and that’s not a good think. I don’t think that’s a good thing for sports or for the country,” Trump said.
President Trump has previously described some of the people in the NBA, including players, as ‘very nasty’ and ‘very dumb’.
