The Indiana Pacers decided to move on without Nate McMillan next season in a surprising firing that few expected, especially after both sides agreed to an extension earlier this month.
The Boston Celtics coach Brad Stevens and the Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra ripped the Pacers for the firing of McMillan.
McMillan had consecutive successful runs in the regular season with Indiana being a regular playoff presence. The veteran coach won 183 games with the Pacers during his 4 years stint with the team.
