Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse says he has heard a couple of players talk about going home, according to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.

This comes on the heels of the Raptors and Boston Celtics plan to meet later tonight to discuss boycotting their Game 1 matchup of the Eastern Conference semifinals in light of the Jacob Blake shooting in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

“Boycotting the game has come up for them as a way to again try to demand a little more action,” Nurse said via Tim Bontemps of ESPN. “And I think that’s really what they want. I think there’s enough attention and there’s not quite enough action, and I think that’s what I can sense from the discussion.”

“Each individual, we support 100%,” Celtics head coach Brad Stevens said of the boycott idea. “… We totally understand anybody’s reaction to what’s going on outside of here to want to do more, or the desire to not play, or the desire to leave. We just tell them we support you. It’s bigger than basketball.”

The NBPA has been educating players on the pros and cons of boycotting games and reassured players that they would support them regardless of what they decide, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

There is reportedly a “sizable faction” of players who are “psychologically distraught” and not in the right frame of mind to play basketball.
