Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic is unsure about his Game 4 status and will have an MRI of his sprained ankle on Aug. 22.

“It’s not that bad,” said Doncic, who missed 11 games earlier this season with a sprained right ankle. “Honestly, I had luck that it was my left ankle. It’s not my right. … We’ll know more tomorrow.”

Doncic finished with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in the 130-122 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, becoming the third-youngest player in NBA history to record a playoff triple-double, behind LeBron James and Magic Johnson.

“We need him. We need him for the next games,” Kristaps Porzingis said. “And hopefully, the medical staff can get him right so he can be back with us next game.”

After rolling his ankle, Doncic initially left Game 3 against the Clippers, briefly returned, then ultimately exited the game for good.
