LeBron James on Lakers clinching No. 1 seed in the West: “They said I couldn’t do it”

The Los Angeles Lakers became the number one seed in the Western Conference for the first since 2010 by taking down the Utah Jazz 116-108 in Orlando. It will also be the first playoff appearance for the Purple and Gold since 2013.

LeBron James, who finished the game with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists, was satisfied after the game. “Since 2010, right?” James said to Los Angeles Times, per Tania Ganguli. “I can just say it feels damn good to be the number one seed in the West. For me, personally.”

The Lakers will now be able to focus on getting in their best shape and work small details for the remaining five seeding games having secured the top spot in the West.
