Russell Westbrook has recovered from coronavirus and practiced today. His return is a big boost for the Houston Rockets ahead of the NBA’s restart.

“I’m just thankful and blessed to be able to go out and compete again,” Westbrook said, according to the Houston Chronicle.

The Rockets posted a video of Westbrook dunking at practice.

Westbrook has averaged 27.5 points, eight rebounds and seven assists per game in 53 games with Houston this season. He was voted an All Star for the ninth time in his career.

The small-ball Rockets were struggling and had lost four of their five games before the NBA suspended the season due to the coronavirus pandemic. They’ll look to get back on track as they battle for seeding ahead of the postseason.
