Karl-Anthony Towns paid tribute to his late mother Jacqueline Cruz on July 20 which would’ve been her 60th birthday and 30th wedding anniversary.

Cruz passed away on April 13 due to complications with coronavirus after she was placed into a medically-induced coma and required a ventilator.

Towns took to Twitter and Instagram to express his gratitude and love toward his mother.

“Real love bro we all miss her!” Chicago Bulls star and former teammate of Towns on the Minnesota Timberwolves, Zach LaVine, tweeted in a reply.

Towns previously chose to represent the Dominican Republic national team in honor of his mother.

Towns also donated $100,000 to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota that would go to coronavirus research.
