Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel thinks LeBron James is the MVP. There has been a heavy debate for the winner of the award. In the midst of the debate, James is headed into an ending of a season that could define his career.

LeBron’s finals record has been under heavy debate and the playoffs could change everything. James is headed into retirement and has had another amazing season in which he averaged 25.7 points, 10.6 assists and 7.9 rebounds. Another MVP trophy could be in his sights.

According to Kyle Goon of the OC Register, Vogel said on LeBron being the MVP:

“No one affects winning more than him. I believe he should be the MVP this year, and I believe that Anthony Davis should be the Defensive Player of the year.”

LeBron has won 60 games three times in his career, 50 games even more times and has only missed the playoffs three times in his whole 16-year career. James has won plenty of games in his career and has been rewarded heavily for it. Besides Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, he is the only player to win back to back MVP awards twice. A win this season would be his fifth award.
