Kendrick Perkins joined Max Kellerman and Stephen A. Smith this morning on ESPN’s First Take and gave his opinion on who the New York Knicks should select in this year’s draft. He says the Knicks “will not be landing any free agents this summer”, so their priority should be the draft. He raves about how LaMelo Ball has “New York Knicks written all over him”.

6’7 guard, LaMelo Ball, averaged 17 points, 6.8 assists, and 7.8 rebounds per game during his previous season with the Illawarra Hawks in Australia. He is the box office player that the Knicks have been searching for, for years. He has the name, game, and swagger to attract not only fans, but free agents in the future. He has the potential to bring life back to Madison Square Garden.
