Former Los Angeles Lakers star Matt Barnes has revealed having spoken to rapper Snoop Dogg about the NBA’s restart as it pertains to the current state of affairs in the U.S and learning there are some players who aren’t comfortable with returning to the court amid the uprising prompted by the killing of George Floyd.

Barnes was speaking to Josiah Johnson of Dunk Bait when he was asked whether he knows if NBA players are against basketball resuming before the social issues are sorted out. He referenced a conversation he had with Snoop Dogg, who claimed to have spoken to players from both the Lakers and Clippers about their feelings on the situation.

He said:

“A couple (of) guys from the Lakers and the Clippers … there are some whispers about some teams not being comfortable. Some guys want to play and some don’t want to play.”

The Lakers Are Tipped To Win The Title

The Lakers are the favorites to win the NBA title now that a format has been approved for a return to play, with a target date already set.

The LeBron James-led side was dominating things out West prior to the NBA shutting down on March 11 and they’re tipped to go all the way as long as the league is able to carry out its plan.
