Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant took a swipe at Jalen Rose via Twitter on Friday after a fan told him the ESPN analyst was making claims over what former players like Michael Jordan and Jerry West would average in today’s NBA.
Durant, known for engaging with fans and journalists alike on social media, replied with the statement below.
To be fair, though, a prime Jalen Rose would likely hold his own on the floor if he were playing today. As for Jordan, there’s little doubt he’d be able to score at least 40 points a night given the modern-day hand-checking rules and the change in defensive play over the years.
