Austin Rivers might follow his father’s steps in the future as he admitted on Facebook Q&A with Craig Ackerman.

Doc Rivers was a quality NBA guard before continue as one of the greatest head coaches in the NBA, after the end of his playing career.

Rivers was asked whether he had thought about one day becoming a coach, per USA Today:

“I will say that over the last couple years, coaching has continued to grow,” Rivers admitted. “It’s something I didn’t see myself possibly doing, but now, it’s a little itch. I’m starting to get to where I feel like 10 years down the road, or however many years I have left, that is something I would like to get into, possibly.”

Rivers is having success as the Houston Rockets back-up guard averaging 8.5 points in 23.4 minutes per game in the 2019-20 season.
