Charles Barkley was on the Coffee With Cal podcast with Kentucky head coach John Calipari to talk on how he compares LeBron James and Michael Jordan across eras. During the show, the Hall of Famer ranked James as the 7th best player of all time.

“Michael [Jordan]’s one, Oscar Robertson’s two, [Bill] Russell, Wilt [Chamberlain] and Kareem [Abdul-Jabbar] in no particular order after Michael, Kobe’s six, LeBron’s seven. The you got Elgin Baylor, Jerry West, Magic [Johnson],” the 11-time NBA All-Star detailed his ranking.

Sports analysts Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless debated on Barkley’s statement, with the former siding with LeBron, while the latter was in full agreement with the NBA legend.
