LeBron James reacted publicly to Episode 4 of ‘The Last Dance’, a documentary focused on the last season of the Chicago Bulls dynasty and the career of Michael Jordan. In a tweet, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar revealed that he was almost in tears as he watched MJ hold his first NBA trophy.
The three-time NBA champion ended the tweet with the following: “That feeling and level of emotions is unexplainable when you been through the [fire],” insinuating that he knows the feeling from his own experience.
Sports analyst Skip Bayless did not approve the tweet, once going on a rant how LeBron cannot and should not compare himself to Jordan because the latter went through much bigger difficulties before finally claiming the NBA trophy:
“The way it happened to Michael [Jordan] is not the way it happened to you [LeBron]. Your struggles had zero to do with Michael’s struggles. In the end, when I look at what happened, his struggles were epic, LeBron, and yours were epic fails, his struggles were legendary and yours, LeBron, were just shameful, they were infamous,” Bayless said on UNDISPUTED of FOX Sports 1.
“It’s so outrageous that it’s shameful. LeBron has the audacity to make ‘The Last Dance’ about him. He can’t just honor the greatest player who ever played in any sport like the rest of us. He’s got to say between the lines: ‘I’m LeBron James, I can relate!'”
