Tulane guard and NBA Draft hopeful Teshaun Hightower was arrested and charged with murder in connection with a homicide in Georgia earlier this month.

A police report indicates that the shooting occurred at an apartment complex just before 11 a.m. on April 8.

24-year-old Devante Anthony Long was shot and later died at the hospital.

Hightower was taken into custody on April 25 and held in the Henry County Jail without bail.

He is charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and battery.

Tulane announced they had dismissed Hightower from the team following his arrest.

Hightower is one of six men being investigated, as five of them were in custody on April 26, including Hightower’s brother, according to ESPN.

He entered the NBA Draft on April 18, but still had one year of college eligibility left.
