ESPN commentator Michael Wilbon, who has been covering the NBA since 1979, talked about today’s stars compared to Michael Jordan. He bluntly said he would not pay to watch James Harden as he doesn’t want to see a player hold a ball for 22 seconds. But, the fans today don’t remember Jordan and they don’t know it could be different.

“Sometimes my son would say to me: ‘Well, dad, didn’t score in his twenties like Harden.’ No, he didn’t. He didn’t keep the ball and go between his legs for 22 seconds. He didn’t. And people called him a ball hog. People did. And I say to my son people called him a ball hog. But I tell you what, I would not pay to watch James Harden, I don’t, I don’t wanna see that. I don’t wanna pay to see that. James Harden is a great player. The firs ballot Hall of Famer. I ain’t payin’ to see that. People pay to see now because they don’t know any… and they think James Harden is as spectacular to watch as Magic [Johnson] or Michael [Jordan], they are fools.”
