ClutchPoints, a quite popular basketball Instagram handle, had the priviledge to interview Knicks guard Damyean Dotson about the season and Knicks culture. When asked about the showdown between LeBron James and Enes Kanter at MSG years earlier, Dotson commented “we didn’t think he would do it,” referring to Kanter sticking up to LeBron.

The incident building hostile taking place after LeBron sent several messages on social media displaying his disapproval towards the Knicks front office personnel pursuing Frank Ntilikina over the like of Dennis Smith Jr. in the previous draft – Smith, would later become a Knick – starting behind Ntilikina.

Kanter commented on Instagram about his former teammates’ commentary, stating “I take down freaking dictators, I ain’t scared of a “king,” LMFAO.” Obviously the match-up between Kanter and James is quite one sided, yet the altercation taking place at MSG at the time it happened proved to be a spark-plug for the lifeless Knicks fans, whose most memorable and cherishable moments of the season beforehand was relatively dismal.
