Laboral Kutxa Vitoria made its first signing of the summer by inking playmaker Walter Hodge to a two-year deal, the club announced Wednesday.

Hodge (1.82 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Stelmet Zielona Gora, which he helped win its first Polish League title last week. He comes off a stellar Eurocup season; he led the competition in scoring (21.1 ppg.), ranked second in performance index rating (22.4 per game), fourth in assists (5.4 apg.) and 10th in steals (1.4 spg.).

He led Zielona Gora to the Last 16 – earning back-to-back weekly MVP honors late in the phase – and was chosen to the All-Eurocup Second Team.

Hodge finished his four-year college basketball career at the University of Florida in the summer of 2009 and has also played for Cangrejeros de Santurce and Capitanes de Arecibo in Puerto Rico, as well as for Metros de Santiago in the Dominican Republic. Hodge is also a member of the U.S Virgin Islands national team.
