Charles Barkley does not have the novel coronavirus, according to his statement released by Marc Stein of the New York Times.
The NBA legend was having flu-like symptoms and has visited New York City recently. A decision was made to test him for COVID-19 infection.
The fans were concerned about his condition as the test results were not revealed for more than a week.
“I’ve received my COVID-19 test results this morning and they are negative. I’d like to thank everyone for reaching out and expressing your concern and support. You all be safe and please take the necessary actions to help ensure your well-being.”
