Los Angeles Lakers sharp shooter Danny Green joined Mike Trudell of NBA.com to discuss the NBA season shutdown. During the phone interview, the two-time NBA champion was asked about a possible season continuation by jumping straight to the playoffs.

According to Green, that would not be fair because the players would need additional games to get back in shape, especially the veterans. The 32-year-old shooting guard said at least five or six games would be needed before the playoffs would start.

“I don’t think that’d be fair to just have teams dive right into the playoffs. I think we’d need at least five games of the regular season to just get us our flow back. Get our legs back under us, get some kind of rhythm, get our chemistry, get our team back. I don’t know if it’s preseason-type games or scrimmages, but at least five or six games under our belt to get back into team form.”
