The Miami Heat are going to be one of the teams chasing Giannis Antetokounmpo when he becomes a free agent this season. But, while he has a good relationship with South Beach’s rising star in Bam Adebayo, the first-time All-Star will not look to persuade the current MVP to join him – unless, of course, Giannis wants to have that talk.

The Milwaukee Bucks big man invited Bam to train with him last summer but that never materialized as several things got in the way, not least Bam’s failed Team USA stint. Adebayo expects them to train together sooner or later but he says he won’t be trying to convince the superstar to move his family from Wisconsin.

“I don’t want to pressure a man to make his own decision,” Adebayo said, per The Athletic. “At the end of the day, when that situation does happen, if he wants to have a conversation with me, then I will have that talk with him. But I’m not going to try to put pressure on a man to make a decision. This is his life. He just had a child. You don’t want to move your child from city to city. It’s bigger than basketball for him at this point and time in his life, because he’s got kids, he’s got family, he’s got brothers. You want everybody to be together and be happy. It’s up to him.”

Antetokounmpo, who shares the same agent with Bam, is eligible for a five-year, $247 million deal this summer. Should he reject Milwaukee’s offer, it will be open season on arguably the most dominant player in the NBA.

We can rest assured Pat Riley and the Heat will be there for that, Adebayo recruitment or not.
