Panathinaikos will feature at least one Lithuanian player in their squad for at least another season as the Greek A1 runner-ups have agreed terms with Jonas Maciulis.

Although the Greek club wanted to tie Maciulis to a two-years contract the two parties have signed just for the next season. The Lithuanian international is expected to earn around 450.000 euros during that time.

Panathinaikos had been in the market for players covering all positions and Maciulis impressed the club’s management with his performance during the pre-Olympic tournament in Venezuela where he was Lithuanian scoring leader and rebounded above average.

The player finished last season with Montepaschi Siena after his serious injury which made him stay out for quite some time and then recover his career in his native Lithuanian league with Baltai.
