Frank Vogel does not lose hope. The Lakers coach hopes to have DeMarcus Cousins for the playoffs. After the injury, Cousins is still at the Staples Center almost every game and he’s working on his rehabilitation. Vogel spoke about Cousins’ possible return: “He is well on his way to becoming healthy from the playoffs, and we will have to see where he is with rhythm, conditioning, timing and all that stuff,” said Vogel. “But there is a possibility that he will return this season“.

Cousins is really looking forward to returning, but the Lakers are in no hurry and don’t have to run. Cousins is not a very mobile player and opponents will not show mercy. This is why the Lakers must be cautious in his return which may be valuable, although for some it may be the opposite.

Whatever Cousins’ outcome will be, Vogel is also betting on him. If Cousins manages to run a little less stressful in a few minutes and get his legs under him, who knows what we could see in depth in the run for the Lakers playoffs.
