Reigning NBA MVP became a father after his girlfriend, Mariah Riddlesprigger, gave birth to the couple’s first child, Liam Charles.
Having a child is a big change in life but the Greek Freak hopes it will positively affect his performance on the court, namely, his shot, per Eric Woodyard of ESPN:
“Look at Fred VanVleet,” Antetokounmpo said. “He started making all those shots when he had his kid. Maybe that happens to me also. Who knows?”
Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet was shooting a only 20.0% through three games of the 2019 Eastern Conference finals. Then his son was born. After that VanVleet scored 13 points off the bench in Game 4, and he shot 68% in the final three games of the series to end the Bucks’ season.
