CSKA Moscow have won this season’s VTB United League after a 74-62 victory over fellow Russian side Unics Kazan in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Andrei Kirilenko was named MVP of the VTB Final Four as CSKA warmed up for the upcoming Euroleague Final Four with a comfortable success.

Kazan got off to a slow start when a Milos Teodosic bucket made it 11-1 to the Moscow side with less than two minutes played in the first period. CSKA went on to lead 22-15 after one.

But the Euroleague favourites slacked off a little in the second and Unics brought it back to a single-point (34-33). CSKA replied though and after a 40-37 lead at the half, began the third on a 8-0 run to build up an 11-point lead and see the game out from there.

Ramunas Siskauskas hit 12 points for the victors supported by Nenad Krstic’s 11 points. Lynn Greer hit 14 for Unics.
