Valencia celebrated against Khimki in Round 19 of the EuroLeague (75-84), even though Bojan Dubljević wasn’t with the squad.
The Montenegrin center missed the action against the Russian team, due to the injury he is dealing with. Even with the absence of its best player, Valencia scored its third road win of the season.
This was the first road victory against Khimki after six consecutive losses, including the EuroCup championship game from 2012.
Fernando San Emeterio of Valencia only needed to spend 20 minutes on the court for a perfect scoring night (2/2 for 2, 4/4 for 3 and 2/2 from the free-point line). San Emeterio had 18 points and 5 assists for an index rating of 25. Aaron Doornekamp scored 13 points, Louis Labeyrie 11 and Joan Sastre 10.
On the other side, Alexey Shved was the best scorer with 18 points (index rating of 15), while Anthony Gill added 12 (index rating of 17). During the game, Stefan Jović from Khimki made his 500 assist in the EuroLeague.
