The Washington Wizards are close to agreeing to a deal with Gary Payton II, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Payton made three appearances for the Wizards last season and has played in 32 career games in the NBA.
The 27-year-old has spent this season in the G-League playing for the South Bay Lakers, averaging 21.4 points, 9.5 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game.
