Maccabi Tel Aviv have officially announced former Spirou Charleroi combo guard Demond Mallet.

The 33-year old American arrives in Tel Aviv on Thursday as a replacement for Jordan Farmar who left to go back to the New Jersey Nets.

Mallet ranked third in scoring in this year’s Euroleague regular season with 18.9 points per game for Spirou, and also added 2.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists.

The American has had a well-established career in Europe, with spells in Germany, Spain and Turkey before moving to Belgium.

Maccabi Electra have been drawn in Group H of Euroleague’s Top 16, alongside Barcelona, Bennet Cantu and Zalgiris.
