The New York Knicks announced the hiring of David Blatt as a basketball operations consultant.
Blatt recently retired from coaching after 26 professional seasons to take this position with the Knicks.
He last coached Olympiacos from 2018-2019 and coached the Cleveland Cavaliers for two seasons from 2014-2016.
Blatt has strong relationships with Knicks President Steve Mills and Knicks Vice President for Player and Organizational Development Craig Robinson.
The three are good friends, as they played college basketball at Princeton in the late 70s and early 80s.
