Brose Baskets produced one of the biggest upsets so far in the Euroleague, by defeating reigning champions Panathinaikos 79-76 in Bamberg.

Predrag Suput led the victors with a game high 19 points as the German outfit recorded their second win from five played.

Panathinaikos, led by Dimitris Diamantidis’ 16 points drop their second game of the Euroleague season following last week’s loss to CSKA Moscow.

“Offensively we played really well in the first half,” Brose coach Chris Fleming said afterwards.

“Defense was important but also the fact that we believed we could win. I am really proud of the guys and how they played.”

Real Madrid eased to a comfortable 104-84 win over Anadolu Efes in the Spanish capital.

Jaycee Carroll led Real with 19 points as they improve to 3-2 overall, ending a two-game slide.Dusko Savanovic and Ermal Kuqo both netted 15 for Anadolu, who were outplayed from the very beginning.

Partizan recorded their second straight win in this season’s Euroleague by defeating Emporio Armani Milan 69-65.

Trailing 56-39 going into the final stanza, Partizan produced the biggest turnaround of this season’s Euroleague by winning the last ten minutes, 30-9.

“We played well for 35 minutes but in the game’s final stretch we made too many mistakes,” Milan coach Sergio Scariolo said.

Regal FC Barcelona were made to work hard, but defeated Euroleague qualifiers Galatasaray 70-66 in Istanbul to remain unbeaten.

Slovenian Erazem Lorbek led Barca with 14 points as they relied on Marcelinho Huertas’ free-throws to get the job done. The 2010 champions were ahead by as many as 20 in the third quarter and had to survive a fightback from the Turks.

Barcelona’s Juan Carlos Navarro is 14 points away from being the Euroleague’s all-time leading scorer. He had 12 points on this night.

Elsewhere in the Euroleague, there were wins for Unics Kazan, as they thumped Union Olimpija 81-51.

After a close first-half, Kazan held the Slovenian side to just five points in the third to lead 61-39 headed to the final quarter, and they never looked back.

Montepaschi Siena have virtually sealed Asseco Prokom’s fate after an 84-73 in Italy. The Polish side are now 0-5 and are 99.9% out of the Euroleague and Maccabi also won at home, they defeated Belgacom Spirou at the Nokia Arena 69-59.
