According to Olympiacos affiliated website RedPlanet, Olympiacos is seriously considering to add Matjaz Smodis to their roster.

The team’s coach Dusan Ivkovic is insisting on working with players, especially veterans, who he has worked with before and trusts them (especially after last summer’s failed transfers) and like in Lazaros Papadopoulos case he wants to bring sign Matjaz Smodis too.

According to the same source, the player will be signed as long as he passes the medical tests. Krka and Cedevita are interested in the player too, but they can’t compete with Olympiacos.

In the meantime, The Reds are trying to find a way to release Zoran Erceg, as he is not in their plans for next season, but has a valid contract until summer of 2013.
