ImageLast week was a disaster for many fantasy players. Many of the top players underperformed causing low scores in the high ranks of the competition. Note that over half of last week's top 50 scored 130 points or less, while some scored even less than 100!

In that frame I think it is interresting to have a look at this season's most consistent players. Those who consistently score about 10 IRP or more to be more accurate.

Point Guards

Most of the top point guards have been pretty consistent, regularly scoring more than 10 IRP, yet mostly without many 20+ performances. Most notably Bo MCalleb has never scored under 10. His scores so far are 13, 22, 20, 15 and 15, and they come even against tough opponents.

Ricky Rubio is not impressing, bur he scored 10+ four times already (21, 8, 15, 11, 13).

Diamantidis is leading the point guards in value, because he has a 33 IRP game under his belt. But he also has two 10- performances (14, 33, 8, 22, 9). He generally won't destroy anyone who picks him, especially in the long run.

Sergio Llull sees just under 20' of action per game, yet he has managed to pull off four 10+ with the only game he scored less than 10 being the openner against Khimki (6, 15, 20, 22, 13).

Bojan Popovic is very turnover prone (4.8) which costs him overall. He doesn't have a 20+ performance, but he does have four 10+ ones (19, 13, 4, 10, 19).

Shooting Guards, Small Forwards

I will leave the obvious picks of 70+ value aside and focus on cheaper players.

The most obvious player in this category is Keneddy Winston of Roma with 5/5 10+ performances (16, 14, 11, 18, 16). I am noticing however that he does not have a single game over 20, eventhough he averages 17.2 points in 32:38 minutes.

Viktor Khryapa has also been pretty consistent with 16, 13, 9, 17 and 13, thanks to his solid rebounding (7.4) and passing (5). If only he would score a bit more (7.2) and turn the ball over a little less (4.2), he could be a regular 20+ performer.

Jamon Lucas of Maroussi is not very popular eventhough he contributes on a regular basis 10+ IRP (12, 16, 20, 14, 8). My guess is he will continue just like that.

Bootsie Thornton is an all-around player with steady contribution in many fields: 11ppg, 4rpg, 3.6apg and 1.2spg. He rarely turns the ball over and sees 30+ minute per game. His scores so far have been pretty decent: 9, 9, 24, 12, 14.

Keith Langford exploded last week for 38 IRP and co-MVP honours. He was not great, yet not bad up until the game befor that: 8, 12, 10, 19.

Rimas Kaukenas has 5/5, without a great performance however: 14, 10, 14, 12, 12.

The early, fantasy players', favorite Fernando San Emeterio may have had a bad third week against Olimpija, but he was more than decent in all other games: 15, 13, 3, 16, 12

Power Forwards, Centers

Ok, there is Darjus Lavrinovic and Tiago Splitter with 4/5 10+ performances and severall monster games and there is Nikola Pekovic with 5/5 and three 20 IRP performances and of course Aleks Maric with one game under 10 and four over 20, but given price and fame the king of consistency among the centers is no other than Dimitris Mavroeidis. He came out of nowhere to record 20, 17, 13, 16 and 19 in just 19:41mpg in his 5 games so far!

Other than that, Ali Traore also has 4/5 10+ games, with the only one under 10 being his debute where he had 3. In the rest he scored 34, 11, 19 and 12. Too bad his team isn't winning more often.

As most big men that are regulars in the high ranks of their category (Borchrdt, Turkcan, K.Lavrinovic, Batiste, Smodis etc) suffer injuries, I will stick to the above mentioned for now, since other players than regularly score more than 10+ IRP also have really bad performances in their record.

Players that will gain the max

There are still some players that can gain the max with negative or slow performances, so let's have a look at the most important ones. Data is provided by hoopsstats.com where you can also find the full list.

Matt Walsh will still be gaining the max with -14.7 IRP as he missed last week's game.

Aleks Maric toyed with Olympiacos' bigs for an index rating of 38 and as a result he will be gaining the max with -11.3 IRP

Keith Langford was Maric' co-MVP as he also had 38 IRP last week. This week he needs 2.2 IRP to reach 64.5 credits.

Andrew Wisniewski came up woth a 24 IRP game against Maroussi last week and will need just 3.8 this week against Olimpija to gain the max.

And if you feel like taking some risks, or need supplementary cheap players you may consider Martynas Pocius, Damir Mrsic, Stanko Barac and Vladimir Micov as they will all be gaining the max with negative performances.

That's it for this week from me. Best of luck mates!
