The Detroit Pistons power forward Blake Griffin, who played eight seasons for the Los Angeles Clippers before being traded, talked on which team holds court in L.A.:
“It’s exciting for L.A. basketball with what the Lakers and Clippers did but the Lakers are such a force. I said this when I played here but I don’t think you’re ever going to take that away from them but at least they’re trying to raise the competition and make a battle. It’ll be fun to watch,” Griffin said.
This past season, the 30-year-old averaged 24.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 35.0 minutes of action, while shooting at 46.2 percent from the floor.
