France made an incredible all-around performance and beat USA to qualify for the semi-finals of the World Cup (79-89).

Four players scored in double figures for French national team, with Evan Fournier and Rudy Gobert having 22 and 21 points, respectively.

The USA national team was outplayed and outrebounded (28-44) in this game, and especially in the second half, with Donovan Mitchel scoring a game-high of 29 points.

After a competitive first half, France took a 10-point lead (43-53) in the first couple of minutes of the second half.

Greg Popovich’s team relied on Donovan Mitchel, who made some big shots, to go on a 29-14 run for the 72-67.

The French squad closed the last six minutes of the game on a 5-22 run of their own to secure their place in the semi-finals, where they are going to face the Argentinian national team.
