The now-Los Angeles Lakers big man Dwight Howard, who played for the Lakers in the 2012-13 season, shared his thoughts on re-joining the team:

“I think it’s a very big blessing to be able to come back here and play. Not too often in life do you get second chances like this.

My job is to come here and help this team win, it’s not to get into any arguments with Shaq or Kobe or anybody. I don’t plan to let anything distract me from helping this team win a championship,” Howard said.

The 33-year-old missed most part of the 2018-19 season owing to injuries, averaging 12.8 points along with 9.2 rebounds per game. As a Laker, he averaged 17.1 points, 12.4 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per contest.
