Darjus LavrinovicThree more players joined the list of those who will not be playing for Lithuania in World Championship 2010 in Turkey. Twins Darjus (Fenerbahce Ulker) and Ksistof Lavrinovic (Montepaschi Siena) as well as Arturas Jomantas (Lietuvos Rytas) will be taking a break from the national team this summer.

These news means the the nationaln team was left with only one real center Robertas Javtokas (Khimki). Because of that a decision was made to call Martynas Andriuskevicius (Alicante) to the main training camp which will start on July 15. He was with the reserve team which played two friendly games against England earlier this week.

Renaldas Seibutis (Bilbao) who also with the reserve team has been called up to the main training camp which will include 16 players in total. Several more players might be invited from the reserve team one it returns from a friendly tour in China.

Lithuanian Basketball Federation expressed the plans to make the national team younger in order to prepare it for Eurobasket 2011 which will be held in Lithuania. The goal for the hosts is to reach the final and qualify directly for London Olympic Games.

Lithuania will compete in Group C against Spain, France, Canada, New Zealand and Lebanon.
