Dragan Bender will most likely leave the NBA to continue his career in Europe. The 21-year-old Croatian center has reportedly has verbally committed to multi-year contract with CSKA Moscow, per Nikos Varlas of Eurohoops.

The 4th overall pick by the Phoenix Suns in 2016 has not been able to get his NBA career on track despite big expectations. During three seasons with the Suns he averaged 5.3 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.

Reigning EuroLeague champions have been on the search for a center for a while. After failing to reach an agreement with Olympiacos regarding Nikola Milutinov, the Russian side turned eyes elsewhere.

Recently, CSKA Moscow officially parted ways with the center Othello Hunter who left the team for Maccabi Tel Aviv which was also Bender’s last team in Europe before moving to the NBA.
