According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Cleveland Cavaliers have released shooting guard JR Smith, making him a restricted free agent.
This past season, the 33-year-old averaged 6.7 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game, while shooting at 34.2 percent from the floor and 30.8 percent from three in 20.2 minutes of action.
