In an interview for the New York Post, Knicks’ rookie RJ Barrett was asked about winning the Rookie of the Year Award next season:
“I’m not going to say that I don’t want it. I’m definitely going for rookie of the year for sure, it’s going to be a battle. But I’m confident enough that I can get it,” Barrett said.
Last season, the 19-year-old averaged 22.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 4.3 assists per game for Duke.
