Zalgiris Kaunas announced they have signed a one-plus-one contract with point guard Lukas Lekavicius. The last two seasons, Lekavicius played for Panathinaikos OPAP.

My decision to return was not difficult. I wanted more playing time. Zalgiris has improved these past years and entered the EuroLeague elite, so there will be fewer challenges than in Athens. Even though I was held to a bench role behind Nick Calathes, I feel like I’m returning with added experience I will try to use at Kaunas,” Lekavicius said, per Eurohoops.net.

Last season, 25-year-old averaged 4.0 points, 0.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game in the EuroLeague.
