Neemias Queta began playing basketball at age 10 in the youth sections of F.C. Barreirense, then he moved to Benfica before to make NCAA. After a successful year in Utah State, his name started to sound as a NBA Draft candidate.

Overall, Queta is considered an amazing rim protector. He averaged 2.4 blocks per game during his freshman year at Utah State and it seems like that should translate well to the next level. He has roughly a 7’4 wingspan.

Queta is an athletic big who runs the floor extremely well. His ability to finish around the rim is pretty good, which makes him a very dangerous player on Pick and Roll situation and circling around the basket. He isn’t scared of contact and can really finish above the rim with one of two hands. Queta also makes passes you would not expect from a player like him.

The Portuguese prospect has also shown the ability of make threes.

No doubt, Queta has the chance to become the first Portuguese born player drafted into the NBA
